Before and After: Smart Design Choices
Kitchen Renovation
The original layout featured a bulky built-in corner pantry that visually and physically dominated the room. By removing it and creating a dedicated zone for the fridge and microwave, Central Kitchens dramatically improved both space and flow.
To open circulation even further, the island bench was extended by 350 mm, giving more room to move and work.

While the highlight was the kitchen makeover, Central Kitchens also redesigned other areas of the home to improve function and usability.
Laundry Renovation
This laundry reflected a typical setup of its era, featuring a prebuilt metal trough cabinet, minimal bench space, and a bulky linen cupboard that dominated the room without delivering practical storage. The primary goal of the renovation was to open up the space by removing the built-in linen cupboard, creating a lighter, more spacious feel while improving both functionality and overall aesthetics.
As the home already included a separate linen cupboard, we removed the existing built-in unit and replaced it with a custom broom and linen cupboard combination. This smart solution provides dedicated storage for brooms and mops, a hidden charging station for the stick vacuum, and adjustable shelving for additional linen and household items.
The outdated metal trough was replaced with a custom-made cabinet featuring an oval laundry trough, perfectly scaled for the space. A front-loading washing machine and a single-basket clothes hamper were seamlessly integrated, maximising efficiency without compromising on design. A stone benchtop was added to create a generous surface for sorting and folding laundry, while the inclusion of a hanging rail allows clothes to be transferred straight from the washing machine to dry.
The result is a practical, streamlined laundry that feels more open, organised, and tailored to the client’s needs.

Bathroom Upgrade
Working within a compact 2.1 × 2.1 metre space, this bathroom renovation presented a unique design challenge. The original layout included two entry points—one from the master bedroom and another from the hallway—which limited functionality and usable space.
To create a more efficient and cohesive design, our client chose to close off the master bedroom entry. This single decision opened up far greater flexibility, allowing us to optimise the layout, improve circulation, and maximise storage without compromising style.
The result is a beautifully transformed bathroom that feels more spacious, practical, and perfectly suited to everyday living.
